Yoreshet Ariel Tzvia "Laura" Lippman
Instructor, Savta’s Wisdom School (Unveiling)
Ariel Tzvia (aka Laura) Lippman is a certified Spiritual Director with advanced training in embodied spiritual direction. Also certified in six different energy healing modalities, she was ordained as an Eshet Hazon (Woman of Vision) by the Jewish Renewal community. She leads chanting services and previously led retreats on kabbalah and embodied wisdom in the mid-Atlantic region. Ariel has been a leader in Jewish Renewal since the 90s, first as a chant leader, then serving as staff of Kol Zimra, then teaching in Embodying the Great Mystery retreats, then becoming a Yoreshet (lineage holder), after completing the advanced level of Yerusha’s “Secrets My Grandmother Told Me” Wisdom School.
Previously, Laura Lippman had a 40-year career as a national and international expert on indicators of child and youth well-being, focusing on youth-centered education and soft-skill development. She led the first official government monitoring report on child well-being, America’s Children: Key National Indicators of Well-being, for which she received a Hammer Award from then V.P. Al Gore. She co-authored two books, What Do Children Need to Flourish? and Flourishing Children: Defining and Testing Indicators of Positive Development published by Springer, as well as dozens of peer-reviewed journal articles in major scientific journals. She attended Colorado College, served as a VISTA volunteer, then Georgetown University graduate school.
