Marvin Lee Anderson, PhD, has been a Fellow at the Centre for Renaissance and Reformation Studies at the University of Toronto since 2010. Dr. Anderson researches the formative influence of late medieval Eckhartian mysticism on the Radical Reformation and subsequent generations of early modern Christianity. Marvin has taught for numerous seminaries in the U.S. and Canada, including the Department of History at the University of Toronto. He has served as an international consultant on rural communities and rural congregational ministry as well as worked with social service and community agencies in the Greater Metropolitan Toronto Area. He has also taught numerous adult education courses for cancer outpatients and religious congregations. Marvin teaches on the faculty of Yerusha’s Institute for Deep Ecumenism, and recently delivered a paper on Howard Thurman’s famous book, Jesus and the Disinherited, for its new Threshold series. He lives with his wife Gwen in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
