When the Earth Cries, We Answer: Healing Through Faith and Action
Join us for a prayerful exploration of Healing the Earth and the Land We Share
- with Rabbi Debra Kolodny [they them]
Rabbi Debra Kolodny recently imagined and led a data gathering effort to discern what kinds of justice work Jewish spiritual leaders yearned to collaborate on. This revealed a deep desire and readiness amongst clergy, clergy students and communities to work together on two of the most pressing issues of our day: the climate crisis and the quest for peaceful co-existence in Israel/Palestine.
Rabbi Debra is launching a new initiative, in the Jewish Renewal world, entitled Tikkun Ha’Aretz (Healing the Earth and Healing the Land we Share). They will be sharing their research, insights and guidelines for informed action that can be applied in all our faith communities.
Rabbi Debra’s presentation will include:
Using data collection as an organizing tool.
Creating and running multifaceted domestic campaigns.
Engaging adults and children in educational initiatives.
Implementing community projects like urban forests for food security.
Advocating for environmental policies at the state level.
Creating and running multifaceted international campaigns when there are areas of great disagreement.
Addressing contentious issues like Israel/Palestine through dialogue.
Hosting international webinars to build shared understanding.
Holding dialogues across difference in your communities, identifying what you agree upon and taking political action.
Collaborating with global movements for common goals in conflict zones.
This program will be held in prayerful intention. There will be plenty of time for conversation and sharing. You won’t want to miss this!

In Limbo and in Danger: Afghan Allies and the Politics of Abandonment
Our guest will speak about the journey of Afghan allies who supported U.S. and international missions, the fallout after the fall of Kabul, and the current plight of Afghan refugees stuck in limbo—particularly those in Pakistan awaiting resettlement. He will share personal experiences and challenges navigating displacement, bureaucracy, and the mental toll of prolonged uncertainty.

Dismantling the Narrative: The White House, DEI, and the Future of Civil and Human Rights
Across the country, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives are under attack. From government rollbacks to funding cuts for nonprofits, a growing movement seeks to erase decades of progress in racial and social justice. But is DEI really dead? What’s driving this backlash—and how do we push forward in the face of opposition?
Join Dr. Stuart Lord, renowned leadership expert, and Dr. Joe-Joe McManus, author of A Brother’s Insight: Guidance on Defeating Racism and Advancing Freedom, for a powerful and candid conversation about the assault on DEI, how it impacts us all, and what we can do to sustain and innovate in the ongoing movement to ensure equity, inclusion, and justice.
