Reclaiming the Unlived Life
Reclaiming the Unlived Life:
Narrative, Legacy & Creative Renewal
A Two-Day Elder Wisdom Symposium
November 11 & 12, 2026
This symposium creates sacred space for elders to examine the narratives that have shaped their lives and to reclaim the stories, dreams, and creative sparks left behind in the rush of responsibility.
Over two days, we gather to ask essential questions: What narrative are we living into? Who authored it—and who can rewrite it now?

Many of us become caregivers in our Sage-ing years, sometimes expectedly or sometimes in an unexpected, sudden way. Caregivers can experience burnout and even depression as they put their lives on hold to take care of a loved one. Megan Carnarius, author of a book on Alzheimers, writes, "Self-care is essential. If you don't take downtime, you will likely experience an erosion in your ability to be patient, present, and creative in your work." Caregiving can also be very busy yet also lonely.
